Review flatness before committing to large tile
Large pieces can make uneven surfaces and edge differences more apparent. We review the floor and selected product requirements rather than assuming the existing slab is ready. Flattening and movement details should be included in the scope.
Balance cuts and natural stone variation
Doorways, islands, fireplaces, and long room views affect where joints and cuts land. For natural stone, review several pieces and vein direction, not just a small sample. An agreed layout helps set expectations without promising identical stone patterns.
Confirm what is included in the installation
Discuss existing floor removal, surface preparation, material responsibility, setting materials, grout, thresholds, and perimeter details. Send product links, measurements, wide photos, and any access or occupied home constraints.
